Overview

The first part of the tour will be dedicated to the most important museums of Florence: Accademia and Uffizi Gallery. We'll see the Accademia in company of an expert art historian. His presentation will focus on the priceless masterpieces sculpeted by Michelangelo and housed in the main rooms of the museum: the David and the Prisoners. You will have the chance to understand Michelangelo's art and get inspired by its harmony and beauty! Next we'll be at the Uffizi Gallery. Our visit will pay particular attention to a selection of must-sees masterpieces which will be described in details by the expert guide: Madonna Ognissanti by Giotto, Annunciation by Simone Martini, Adoration of the Magi by Gentile da Fabriano, Primavera and Birth of Venus by Botticelli, Tondo Doni by Michelangelo, Madonna of the Goldfinch by Raffaello and a few others. Goal of the tour is giving you an overview on the evolution of figurative art in Florence from XIV to XV century. After a deep experience in art and history, we'll have lunch at a local restaurant: three courses tuscan traditional lunch paired to "vino della casa" and served italian style! Tour continues on to the Michelangelo square, the best panoramic view over the city. We'll drop you off at your hotel at the end of the excursion.

Vespa Tour

The vespa tour was an absolute blast. Unfortunately the equipment supplied to Fun in Tuscany by a third party was not the most reliable, however, the scenery and ride was worth any trouble that may have been caused by said equipment.

Wonderful daytrip

We had a fabulous time on this tour in Tuscany. Our guide, Daniele (Daniel), helped make this a memorable trip. The horseback ride was an easy jaunt around the countryside, so we could enjoy the peaceful views. The wine tasting and meal were informative and fun, as well as very tasty. We rounded the tour off singing along to Daniele's awesome playlist of rock n roll classics on the way back to Florence. Great fun!

BEST Tour We've Ever Been on with the BEST Guides

Last year, my girlfriend and I booked the horseback riding tour during a two month trek throughout Europe. We went to Rome, Barcelona, Paris, the Greek Islands, Venice and many other beautiful places during those two months and out of all the tours we did, this was BY FAR the best day we had.

We had Daniel as our guide and he did a tremendous job making the tour super fun and memorable. The tour starts with a quick stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, a picturesque view of Florence, including the Ponte Vecchio Bridge and larger than life Duomo. We then took a beautiful ride to a winery in Tuscany that words cannot describe how beautiful the view is. After that stop, you are taken down the road to meet the beautiful horses and begin a surreal hour long trek through the jaw droppingly gorgeous Tuscan vineyards. The horses for the most part run on auto-pilot and are very easy to control, they know the path and allow you the time to just enjoy the amazing view. After finishing the horseback riding, you are taken to the medieval town of San Gimignano and given an informative tour of the grounds, ending with free time and a chance to try delicious gelato from the award winning Gelateria Dondoli. After this, you are taken to a beautiful family run winery in Tuscany where you are able to try out 9 different wines all paired with delicious Italian dishes. All of the food was great, but I have to say the lasagna (which is a family recipe) is the most delicious lasagna I have ever had in my life. The truffle olive oil takes the taste to a completely different level beyond anything I would have ever expected of food offerings at a winery. After a farewell toast, you are back on your way to Florence wishing you could do it all again tomorrow. All the while, you are enjoying fun music and bonding time with the guides and other passengers.

We loved this tour so much that we decided to return to Florence this past month and do this horseback riding tour again with my girlfriend's mom and her husband. It was just as amazing this time around and it was a real treat to share this with them. Daniel was working with a different group, though we did get to catch up with him throughout the day, and we were equally lucky to have Daniele as our main tour guide this time. Fun in Tuscany is extremely lucky to have two amazing individuals like Daniel and Daniele on their staff. They make the experience so fun for everyone and are just two genuinely great people. I can't wait until we get to hang out with them again when we come back for our third tour.
