Overview

You will have the rare opportunity to view each step of the process, including the heating of the fresh milk and the separation of the curds, the crafting of the curds by the "Casaro" (dairy-master), the formation of a single cheese mass, and the birth of the so called "twins". You will explore the impressive "cheese library", housing more that 6 million euros worth of Parmigiano Reggiano. At the end of the visit, you will be treated to a full tasting of Parmigiano Reggiano aged 13 and 25 months, as well as other delectable breakfast treats. Tour continues on to one of the region's oldest historic "acetaia", a family-owned farmhouse where the famous D.O.P. Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena is made. Savor the distinct and delightful aroma of this certified "black gold" (aged for a minimum of 12 years) and learn about the methods and wood barrels used to produce this artisanal treasure. Another tasting opportunity allows you to compare different ages and varieties, including Balsamic Dressing aged 6 years, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar D.O.P. aged both 15 and 25 years. From the acetaia we will take you off the beaten path to one of the best "prosciutto" factories in the region. Here you will meet a family that for over three generations has been committed to making one of the world's most delicious pork products. At their factory in Modena, you will learn all about the strict regulations, the lengthy curing process, and the tremendous care that goes into ensuring that all D.O.P. prosciutto, including Prosciutto di Modena D.O.P. and Prosciutto di Parma D.O.P., meets exactly the same high standards. After the tour you will be treated to some freshly cut slices of Prosciutto di Modena D.O.P. together with some refreshing Lambrusco Grasparossa wine. What's next? AUTHENTIC ITALIAN LUNCH at a countryside original "Trattoria" or in a Certified Organic winery, a perfect ending to a day filled with the very best of Italian food culture, here you'll experience the famous Italian Days "LIGHT" Lunch ... an orgy Lunch ;) eating and drinking the best food and wine that our area has to offer! Vespa Tour

The vespa tour was an absolute blast. Unfortunately the equipment supplied to Fun in Tuscany by a third party was not the most reliable, however, the scenery and ride was worth any trouble that may have been caused by said equipment.

Wonderful daytrip

We had a fabulous time on this tour in Tuscany. Our guide, Daniele (Daniel), helped make this a memorable trip. The horseback ride was an easy jaunt around the countryside, so we could enjoy the peaceful views. The wine tasting and meal were informative and fun, as well as very tasty. We rounded the tour off singing along to Daniele's awesome playlist of rock n roll classics on the way back to Florence. Great fun!

BEST Tour We've Ever Been on with the BEST Guides

Last year, my girlfriend and I booked the horseback riding tour during a two month trek throughout Europe. We went to Rome, Barcelona, Paris, the Greek Islands, Venice and many other beautiful places during those two months and out of all the tours we did, this was BY FAR the best day we had.

We had Daniel as our guide and he did a tremendous job making the tour super fun and memorable. The tour starts with a quick stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, a picturesque view of Florence, including the Ponte Vecchio Bridge and larger than life Duomo. We then took a beautiful ride to a winery in Tuscany that words cannot describe how beautiful the view is. After that stop, you are taken down the road to meet the beautiful horses and begin a surreal hour long trek through the jaw droppingly gorgeous Tuscan vineyards. The horses for the most part run on auto-pilot and are very easy to control, they know the path and allow you the time to just enjoy the amazing view. After finishing the horseback riding, you are taken to the medieval town of San Gimignano and given an informative tour of the grounds, ending with free time and a chance to try delicious gelato from the award winning Gelateria Dondoli. After this, you are taken to a beautiful family run winery in Tuscany where you are able to try out 9 different wines all paired with delicious Italian dishes. All of the food was great, but I have to say the lasagna (which is a family recipe) is the most delicious lasagna I have ever had in my life. The truffle olive oil takes the taste to a completely different level beyond anything I would have ever expected of food offerings at a winery. After a farewell toast, you are back on your way to Florence wishing you could do it all again tomorrow. All the while, you are enjoying fun music and bonding time with the guides and other passengers.

We loved this tour so much that we decided to return to Florence this past month and do this horseback riding tour again with my girlfriend's mom and her husband. It was just as amazing this time around and it was a real treat to share this with them. Daniel was working with a different group, though we did get to catch up with him throughout the day, and we were equally lucky to have Daniele as our main tour guide this time. Fun in Tuscany is extremely lucky to have two amazing individuals like Daniel and Daniele on their staff. They make the experience so fun for everyone and are just two genuinely great people. I can't wait until we get to hang out with them again when we come back for our third tour.
