Overview
After a one hour comfortable drive from Florence to the Chianti region, you will meet with our professional truffle hunter in the area of San Gimignano. You will enjoy hiking through vineyards and woods, having fun hunting truffles with his trained dogs. You will discover the main features and secrets of truffles. Two hours truffle hunting activity will be followed by a truffle-based Tuscan lunch featuring several truffle specialities paired with the finest Chianti wines. The tour will continue on with a guided visit to the famous medieval village of San Gimignano where you will admire the numerous 12th century towers, wander in the small streets and enjoy the charming view of the surrounding countryside. 9:00 a.m.
Meeting point and check in will be in front of Hotel Villa Medici, a few minutes walk from the main Florence train station. In our comfortable air-conditioned 8-seats minivan you will be taken to the area of San Gimignano.
10:30 a.m.
We’ll meet with the our expert guide, a local truffle hunter living in the area of San Gimignano. He will introduce us to his truffle dog. We’ll spend two hours in the woods, following the dog and learning how to hunt truffle on the field.
12:30 p.m.
We’ll then have a fantastic truffle-based lunch at a nearby farm, where you will be served special recipes.
2:30 p.m.
After lunch we’ll have time to visit the medieval town of San Gimignano, famous for its “fine towers”. We’ll visit the main squares and the famous Gelato World Champion, Dondoli. We’ll also reach the top of the hill to enjoy the magic panoramic view of the Chianti region.
4:00 p.m.
We’ll be back to Florence around 5pm, you will be dropped off at the same spot where we met in the morning.

Great Vespa Tour
Everything about this tour exceeding my expectations. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and very fun! Not only were we able to ride vespas through the beautiful Tuscan countryside, but we also stopped and visited a few villages and towns in the country. To top it all off, we had a delicious lunch with a wine and olive oil tasting.

I had a great day, mum had a great day, and our fellow passengers had a great day…. Our tour guide Elizabetha was informative and fun and took great care of us making sure the wine was flowing!
Very generous with the wine, the food was all organic from the farm we had our lunch at and was very tasty…
I bottled it on the riding but mum and the other all went and loved it… I stayed back at the stables with the dog…
Would highly recommend…
Also, if you are staying somewhere that doesn’t do breakfast then get to the meeting point a bit early as lovely cafe there….
Met some fab people and carried on the night from there…

Best wine tour

Chianti Wine Tour
This was seriously the best wine tour ever! Our tour guide, Daniel, was amazing; I would definitely suggest requesting him for your tour! He made sure that every moment on the tour was really fun! Our group cannot say enough nice words about him.
