Overview
After a one hour comfortable drive from Florence to the Chianti region, you will meet with our professional truffle hunter in the area of Certaldo. You will enjoy hiking through vineyards and woods, having fun hunting truffles with his trained dogs. You will discover the main features and secrets of truffles. Two hours truffle hunting activity will be follewed by a four courses truffle-based tuscan lunch featuring several truffle spacialties paired with the finest chianti wines. Tour will continue on with a guided visit to the famous mediaval village of San Gimignano where you will enjoy the world champion Dondoli gelato, the 1300 Museum and the panoramic view uplooking the surrounded countryside. 9:00 a.m.
Meeting point and check in will be in front of Hotel Villa Medici, a few minutes walk from the main Florence train station. Departure by 9:15am. In our comfortable air-conditioned 8-seats minivan you will be taken to the area of Certaldo, a small town in Tuscany well known for its truffles.
10:30 a.m.
We’ll meet with the our expert guide, a local truffle hunter living in the area of Certaldo. He will introduce us to his truffle dog. We’ll spend two hours in the woods, following the dog and learning how to hunt truffle on the field.
12:30 p.m.
We’ll then have a fantastic truffle-based lunch at the farm of the truffle hunter, where his family will cook special recipies for us.
2:30 p.m.
After lunch we’ll have time to visit the medieval town of San Gimignano, famous for its “fine towers”, which is only 7 miles away from Certaldo. We’ll visit the main squares and the famous Gelato World Champion, Dondoli. We’ll also reach the top of the hill to enjoy the magic panoramic view of the Chianti region.
4:00 p.m.
We’ll be back to Florence around 5pm, you will be dropped off at the same spot where we met in the morning.

Great day out
Great experience, loved the horse riding, the town we visited was beautiful, unfortunately I was too hungover to do the wine tasting and lunch but the staff were so friendly and accomodating of my self inflicted illness which was much appreciated ! Would definitely come back to experience the whole day as per the actual plan..

Vespa Tour
The vespa tour was an absolute blast. Unfortunately the equipment supplied to Fun in Tuscany by a third party was not the most reliable, however, the scenery and ride was worth any trouble that may have been caused by said equipment.

A totally enjoyable day.
A totally enjoyable experience. Our guide, Guido, the self-proclaimed King of Tuscany did a great job. Our visit to the two wineries, that included lunches were both great. Also, the visit to San Gimignano was a pleasant time. One of the best memories of our stay in Florence.
